OUTLOOK VENTURES ADDS SENIOR ASSOCIATE JOSEPH GOLDBERG SAN FRANCISCO, CA — October 10, 2005 — Outlook Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm with $225 million under management, today announced the appointment of Joseph Goldberg as Senior Associate. Goldberg will focus on evaluating new investment opportunities and analyzing market sectors for investment potential, as well as supporting portfolio companies. "Joe combines a strong understanding of the software industry with good operational and venture experience," commented Carl Nichols, Outlook's Managing Director and co-founder, "Moreover, he's a great team player. Goldberg's corporate experience includes roles as Senior Product Marketing Manager at VMware, a subsidiary of EMC that markets server and desktop virtualization software; Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at ZANTAZ, a data storage start up; and product marketing within a server software group of Sun Microsystems. His financial industry experience includes being an investment professional with E*TRADE Venture Capital (renamed Arrowpath VC) and an investment banker at Hambrecht & Quist (now part of JP Morgan).
