During the summer iMinds held discussions with many Global 2000 CIOs and CTOs to talk about mutual areas of interest and enterprise trends. In September, we officially launched a program that brings together Global 2000 CIOs and CTOs with the iMinds' family.
CIOs/CTOs participating in the program are offered an option to participate as limited partners in our Fund. In addition, they will be invited to our regular "Meeting of the Minds" events, regular get-togethers with limited partners and special introductions and meeting with our portfolio companies.
Starting in October, iMinds will sponsor a quarterly Technology Roundtable on selected technology topics - delving into special areas of interest to CIOs and CTOs. The October 25th event will focus on Web Services. In January the iMinds Technology Roundtable will cover Enterprise Process Management and Workflow. In April, we will focus on Mobile Security. Each of these sessions has been carefully crafted for the benefit of our CIO/CTO Council members.
The purpose of the iMinds CIO/CTO Council is to foster a connection between CIOs/CTOs and the many companies that iMinds comes in contact with who are developing leading edge technologies and applications. We have found that many of the CIOs are open to sharing their experience and "mentoring" younger technology firms and we can all learn from each other as the industry unfolds.
Our Council members come from a broad range of companies including
Asera, AT&T, CenterBeam, Chase H&Q, ClickAction, Documentum, eBay, Kinkos, Lab Morgan, Marconi, The Gap, Webgain, Egghead, First Hand Funds, PG&E, The Northface, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Visa International, and WindRiver Systems. The diversity of these enterprises gives the program a wide spectrum of industry and technology experiences from which to tap.
We will continue to grow the CIO/CTO Council in 2001, making it one of the most creative venture programs in the industry.
We would like to thank Charlotte Goldsberry for her invaluable input and collaboration that were key to making the launch of this program a huge success.
