On November 7th, Outlook Ventures sponsored and hosted the 4th "Meeting of the Minds" event. In attendance were 126 guests from prominent angel groups, entrepreneurs, investors, service providers, and Outlook Ventures staff, with discussions around new investment opportunities, and recent angel and venture investments.

A panel discussed the "Future of Software" and then fielded questions from the audience. The panel featured:

Brian Bauer, CIO of Cadence
Dave Margulius, Analyst with CIO and InfoWorld
Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce.com

Randy Haykin, Managing Director of Outlook Ventures, kicked off the discussion with a presentation featuring Outlook's viewpoint on the future of software. The panelists provided diverse perspectives based on their views of the market and professional responsibilities.

The event was held at Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, California. The museum, with its excellent collection of aircrafts including those used in some of the earliest quests for flight and a Mig-21 class fighter jet, provided an excellent backdrop for panelists and the audience to discuss investment strategies in the current environment.
