New Investments and Follow On Fundings

Epicentric Raises $47 Million in Equity Financing! iMinds portfolio company, Epicentric, closed a $47M Series D round on March 26th. Epicentric is a leading provider of next generation portals and E-Business Network solutions.

Founded in 1998, privately held Epicentric has raised a total of $89 million to date and plans to use the funds raised in its fourth financing round to expand its business and accelerate its path to profitability.

New York based J. & W. Seligman & Co. Inc. led the round with additional investments from Amerindo Investment Advisors Inc.; Alliance Capital Management Corporation; Bowman Capital Management, LLC; Essex Investment Management Company, LLC; Putnam Investments; Reuters Group PLC through its Greenhouse Fund; Motorola, and earlier round investors including iMinds. Goldman, Sachs & Co. served as private placement agent. iMinds Partner, Carl Nichols, currently sits on the Board of the company.

CyberstateU.com changes Name to Logilent Online technical training and certification pioneer CyberstateU.com re-launched in April as Logilent. With the new name came the official announcement of the close of their $14m Series C funding, led by Mellon Ventures. iMinds Ventures joined Sigma Partners in leading Logilent's Series B funding in 2000, and iMinds Partner, Randy Haykin, currently sits on the Board of the company.
